The Manila Sunrise is the last step towards the dawn and a reminder that when the sun is going down on one part of the world, it’s rising on the other side. Ending the album, it runs through a soulful, bluesy, ironic path towards a far more upbeat, gospel-inflected outro and a poem from the Shining Veil. Dedicated to Jimi Hendrix, who absorbed many influences but refused to copy. Location: Philippines and China.

But what yuh goin’ do (It's Sunrise)
Hearts in Hand

Tune, the sun’s a white Moon,
(pa-dum-pa-dum-padum-padum-pader...raisin’ in the Philippines
Sour grapes and /sugar..... sub Rosa vines are
Shouting ‘loud alon’ those pink

It got a little hot today… [liaison with 'it's killer']
On the way back from Rome
Some black and blue heroes in the desert [force rhyme Rome/Some/Home]
Warnin' they wanted to come home
Weren’t ready to die
Looking for another promised land (es agua de beber)
They Want to come back
To brighter smiles….
and darker skin...
Chorus:
Sunrise
Ain’t nothin’ funny
Bout this milk, and this honey
No, ohh
Manila
Sunrise
Ain’t nothin’ cute
Pour, shake and shoot
Oh, it’s Killer
Manila Sun is rising
Over rebel mountains
Manila Sun’s still shining (yeah, yeah)
Under angry skies and heavy blues
Manila Sunrise,
Green, white, gold
And Red Eye Rouge
Yeah, Manila Sunrise

Es agua de beber [Ain't nothin']
Nada puede parar
La salida del sol al aman(ecer)... [Manila Sunrise]
